Inspired by the Pope’s comments that we should look up from our phones. The painting depicts the “Last Super” scene but with a modern day twist; the disciples are absorbed in their phones, while their Master has left, gone to Gethsemane. A picture is worth a thousand words.

“From the Womb” Coffee Table Book
Karen Weber’s “From the Womb” is a unique interpretation of the Genesis creation story presented as a coffee table book (8 3/4″ h x 11 1/4″ w). Karen hand carved each of the seven prints depicting the seven days of creation. Vintage type was selected from her extensive printing collection: 56 trays of vintage letter press type. The original prints were stuck on her antique Chandler & Price printing press.

Karen’s love of life and the God of life is reflected in this lovely and unusual conversation piece. At the young age of 12, Karen penned a poem, “I Love Babies,” which has much to say about her adult life – mother of ten, consummate homemaker, follower of Christ, and artist on the “fly.”
